Zhao-PeishanZHAO, Pei-Shan, MD, PhD, graduated from Peking University, Health Science Center (former Beijing Medical University) in 1986 and entered Urology residency at the First Teaching Hospital, BMU in the same year. He received his PhD degree in Molecular Pharmacology from College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina in 1995. After 8 years of basic science biological research, Dr. Zhao enrolled in Anesthesia residency at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center of Boston. He successfully finished anesthesia training in 2002 and became ABA board certified anesthesiologist in 2003. He was recertified by ABA in 2013. Prior to join in Tufts Medical Center in 2008, he spent 5 years in private practice at Brockton hospital which is 25 miles south to Boston. His clinical research interests include Obstetric Anesthesia, Airway management and regional anesthesia. Dr. Zhao has passion for international academic exchanges and community service. He gave many presentations at Chinese Society of Anesthesiology annual meetings and has been one of the key members in “No pain Labor & Delivery” program in the last 3 years. He also is the column writer of “Ask Dr. Zhao” in local newspaper SAMPAN. He is recently promoted to be a  full professor in his institution.
